Patience Brewster has been producing the Krinkles line of ornaments and accessories for Department 56 since 2000. More than just ornaments, though, they became a brand and Patience and Department 56 have been intertwined ever after. The whimsical decoratives are almost as popular as the villages and the Snowbabies lines. In an excerpt from the news article : "Designer Patience Brewster will leave seasonal decor vendor Department 56 and manufacture ornaments, enamel boxes and gift items. Since 2000, Department 56 produced the Krinkles line based on Brewster’s designs. The licensing agreement between Patience Brewster Inc. and Department 56 expired in December 2007, but Department 56 will continue to sell the Krinkles line until January 1, 2009. Brewster’s 2009 gifts will be presented to interested retailers during the summer of 2008. Orders will be taken from July–September and shipped in early 2009."

Angelic Dreamz of Canadaigua, NY, features the complete line of Krinkles by Patience Brewster. "Our store was founding in 1993, we originated in Miami Beach, Fl and after 20 years of Florida living, and putting up with endless hurricanes we decided to move away from the coast and scoured the country for an ideal place. We settled on Canandaigua, New York. Settling into a 130 year old historic Firehouse , in the beautiful Finger Lakes regions of western NY, it was our ideal location. Canandaigua is a historic lake town on the edge of Lake Canandaigua. Our store features the entire line of both Krinkles and D56 Villages." Last year Patience Brewster made a personal appearance at our store . She will be making another appearance and signing this year at our Christkindl Market at the Granger Homestead here in Canandaigua, where we will be presenting Patience as well as hundreds of Krinkles items during the event. The Satin Button is an online store that was introduced to me by the owner, Kristin Singhasemanon. The store carries Department 56 , Department 56 Krinkles , Department 56 classic brands and other holiday gifts. Her Department 56 sales are located on her specials page. She sent me a detailed description of her store, but I found a personal note on the website itself that evoked a nice summary of the store's intent (copied in full): "As a little girl, the holidays were always filled with charm and enchantment.
