What got you started collecting villages? When my mom was here to visit in 2002 we went to a local store closing to look for a 5th year anniversary gift for my brother & sister in law. I had never really paid much attention to the villages but knew the collections and what they were. The retail price was out of my league. I bought Center for the Arts and my mom purchased the Woodlake Chapel Starter Set. How many years have you been collecting? That fall to my surprise Kohls came out with two collections (Pine Isles & Holly Lane) I bought Pine Isles. Suppose it was on my brain since buying the anniversary gift!! But my first 'regular' village piece was in April of 2005 via ebay. What is your favorite D56 series? Each series in unique - don't have a favorite.
