Miscellaneous saturday morning notions

* My blogging has become a bit infrequent, so I apologize. I've had to concentrate on getting my health in order by walking each morning and not drinking a zillion espresso shots to fuel my writing. I've also been incredibly busy with work projects. * Catzilla has been roaming our halloween villages. When we're home, we can shoo him away from nibbling on fences, trees, building tops, pumpkin pieces, etc...but I have to ask, what kind of damage does he do when we're not home??? * We went to the Sears nearby in Manchester, CT, to look at the line of "A Christmas Story" pieces, and they had the two new buildings, "Uptown Theater" and the "Optometry". I read that the "Uptown Theater" is from the literary source which spawned the movie, and that the Optometry is where Ralphie was assumed to go to fix his glasses. The new accessory piece of Ralphie with his broken glasses was not available there. They had several pieces from last year ...

Catzilla...ideas to help deter cats from your village displays

I had no idea that when I posted a message to the Yahoo! D56 Group about my cat Reggie being like Godzilla, roaming through our displays, that it would spawn 20+ messages back with similar stories, and better yet, many suggested ideas for preventing the inevitable "accessory loss" due to nibbling kitty. Here are some of the ideas from the group: "Having to reposition and pick up everything they have knocked down each morning is bad enough (I hot glue down almost everything thinks to them) but it is the frigging snow covered paw prints all over the house the next day that drive me to the brink of insanity. I have tried balloons (one of my dogs will not even go in the room if there is a blown up balloon anywhere in the room) BUT the cats could care less." "I found a product called "shake away" under animal repellents that is 100% organic that might work." (note: it was reported that there was an odor issue with this) Wasn't something said abo...
