My Snow Village collection is up on Ebay...and cheap!

I finally added my Snow Village collection up on Ebay. Starting bid was $99, and there are currently 3 bidders. You can check the D56 auction out here and make bids until 5 am EST on Thursday, May 15th. We hate to give these pieces away at such a discount, but we are forced to because of storage space issues. We are adding a baby to our family and we are going to collect North Pole for him instead. All buildings and accessories are in good condition and have been set up and used once. All boxes are also in good condition, except Dinah's Diner, which is missing the box entirely, but is still packed in the foam properly. Campbell's Soup Counter and Mm-Mm-Good! A new auction site for Dept 56 and more

A reader wrote in about a new auction site with free basic listings: Insider Auctions has free basic listings, low fee optional features and a flat 2% selling fee. There are several department 56 items already listed as well. The auction site also has a supporting blog . Here is a link to the page of search results for " Department 56 " items on Insider Auctions.

Free classifieds sites where you can sell your stuff

If you are a regular buyer or seller of Department 56 collectibles, you're probably used to the fees they charge for various listings. Never let that be your only avenue on the web for sales, though. In fact, if you have a retail shop or an ebay store, a creative thing to do would be to place many free classified listings across all the available sites. In those listings, you can often include the website address of your store, your ebay items, etc. It's an extra step, but it'll pay off -- all those links to your merchandise! Very good search engine optimization benefit here. Craigslist is all over Google. Kijiji is a Craigslist competitor and they are owned by Ebay. Kijiji has vowed to take over the entire classified space. Of course, your online item listings should also be included on your website, blogs, social networks, news feeds, twitter , etc., and all other listings should point to your website's listing. Instant relevant link. Other free classified sites: OL...

Department 56 Sales Blog Is Up!

I am pleased to release this new blog. We will feature articles on Department 56 villages , news, listings that are ending soon on Ebay , photos from collectors, links to retailers, hobbyists and more. I think the feature with the highest value on this site are the feeds on the Department 56 village listings from Ebay. They are all right here, by village category, sorted by ending soonest. No need to go to Ebay itself and search. I'll be adding more and more features for different types of Ebay searches and eventually I will add some other sites like Craigslist databases of listings and such. For now, please comment, browse, visit our featured resources, and send in your pictures and stories!
