The Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge, TN

Janet recently sent a message wishing good tidings. She said she has recently redesigned the entire North Pole village at The Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!

Relating to my post about my son and collecting North Pole Village, she said "Most little boys enjoy playing with trucks, and new in the line this year is "Dumpy's Toy Trucks" which is a store in the shape of, you guessed it, a dump truck! It is really cute. Another new and charming piece for this year -that is also animated- is the "Rubber Duck Factory," which includes an elf "swimming" in a pool of ducks, conducting product testing...
Still in the line are Mickey Mouse Watch Factory, Sesame Street at the North Pole, and Christmas Critters Pet Store. Of course, the list goes on! You can see pictures of Dumpy's Toy Trucks and the Duck Factory here!"

Boasting one of the largest Christmas stores in the south, the Christmas Place carries the full Deptartment 56 line.

The History Channel 's comprehensive website has dedicated an entire section to " Christmas ". It's a good read, and a great reference for those of us who like to delve into the particulars about Christmas events, trivia, specifics and traditions. Pages within this section include videos on " Santa Claus ", " Christmas Trees ", and the " History of Christmas ". Other content includes a page focusing on " Christmas Around the World ", " The Christmas Truce of 1914 ", as well as quite a bit else.
